Obstacle
The obstacles are always present in our lives, are part of our experiences and when we are following a weight loss program, the obstacles may jeopardize the achievement of our goals. Therefore, we must bear in mind some advice to help overcome.
The following story is a clear example of improvement. Long ago a king placed a large rock obstructing a road. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the road.
Then came a peasant, who carried a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden on the floor and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he succeeded. As he picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a bag on the floor, right where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.
Obstacles are like stones that block our mind, but with willpower and the high esteem can you win.
Some of the most common obstacles that can find you to follow your weight management plan are:
Stress makes you eat more. Often we express our feelings through food. If you are nervous (as) we take refuge in food, if we are upset with us or with another person, we console ourselves by giving us a binge. Anxiety often causes us uncontrollable desire to eat. To reduce your stress levels you can:
*Breathe deeply three times and gently release the breath, this will relax you and deliver you from the anxiety of eating. Keep your refrigerator only healthy foods, so if you feel you need a snack you choose those that are healthy and low in calories. Distract your mind with activities other than food, for example: read a book, call your best friend on the phone or a loved one.
* Always sit at the table eating, avoid watching television when you’re eating, because your satiety center is not activated and you will not notice when you’re full (a).
* For other reasons besides losing weight, and improve your health and lifestyle. It has been found to decrease only 5 to 10% of excess weight, improve your bloodstream, your blood pressure and your blood fat levels, to improve your general health is easier to meet your goals.
Lack of time. Many times, we abandon our goals for lack of time, and we postponed our plans to start the diet or exercise. As time passes, we also gain weight, which further hinders us back to our initial plans. We suggest you to find another person who shares your interests, since it is easier to remove the stone in two.
Adopt a positive attitude. Plan what to do if bad weather prevents you perform your exercises. If it is cold you can exercise at home. Practice relaxation techniques like yoga, and do so without leaving home.
Make it realistic long term goals. If you’ve never weighed 110 pounds, do not try now to reach that weight, but you can lose weight healthily, reaching a healthy weight. If you have never done exercise, intend to start with a gentle walk and then increases the frequency and intensity gradually.
